Hagenbuch Declares Victory in SD30 Contest

DENTON TX – Brent Hagenbuch, conservative Republican candidate for Texas Senate District 30, the seat being left vacant by the announced retirement of Senator Drew Springer, released the following statement:

“As I have traveled across the 11 counties of SD30, I have been blessed every step of the way. The people of this District are tremendously welcoming. The outpouring of support I have received from new friends is remarkable.

“Serving in the Texas Senate was never anything I aspired to. It is God’s timing.

“2024 is a watershed for Texas and the nation. The reelection of Donald Trump to the Whitehouse will set the nation on a path for success. The next legislative session in Texas will give us an opportunity to solidify the conservative policy gains we have made in Texas and secure our future as the very best place to live, work and raise a family.

“Having the support from President Trump, Governor Abbott, and Lt. Governor Patrick opened many doors for our campaign, and I was pleased to walk through each one. But, together with my campaign team, we knocked on tens of thousands more, introduced ourselves, and won over many more.

“I look forward to spending the remainder of the year, continuing to travel the District, and preparing to represent the interests of our area in the Texas Senate. The voters have made clear that border security, education choice, property taxes, and economic growth are top priorities. They will be my focus.

“Party primaries can and do get intense, and sometimes the rhetoric gets overheated – leaving hurt feelings and some bruised egos. I will go to Austin to represent the entire District. Those who supported me and those who didn’t. I extend the hand of friendship and the spirit of cooperation to everyone.

“The voters in SD30 can depend up on me to deliver one of the strongest conservative voting records during the upcoming 89th Session.

“I have spoken with the Lt. Governor and told him I am reporting for duty and ready to work.

“There are so many people to recognize and thank, but first among them are my wife and family without whose support I would never have entered the race.

“Looking ahead, we are planning a series of townhall events across the district and will be announcing details soon. I look forward to seeing old friends and new ones, too.”
